Professional ethics shall be followed and respected in today’s corporate world. When Business Suits are worn, it give confidence to you as well as to the people around. It may sound trivial, but a banker should opt for something “bankerish” while a hotshot sales man should get a men’s business suit that reflects what he is selling. It’s just a fact of life that you are going to be judged for what you wear, both the baker and the salesman deal with other people’s money, but one should project an air of reserve and tranquility while the other should reflect the quality of his products. The masculinity of a suit is less easy to define; one can’t simply enter a tailors and say you want a suit infused with masculinity. Sadly, it doesn’t work that way. Instead, suits for 2011 and 2012 are all about a cut that compliments the male physique, a suit that broadens the shoulders and trims the waist highlighting (or at least implying) an exercised body. The grey wool Nehru suit from last week sits idly awaiting the chance to be worn. Since it sits beside me every day, I felt compelled to write a second part to Nehru suits as it is hard to find current information and pictures on this unique looking suit. Although, Zegna, Canali and Calvin Klein have all dabbled in this suit style, it still appears to be geared towards the Eastern world.
